79 dengue patients hospitalized in a day

A total of 79 new dengue patients were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), during the period, 31 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka, while 48 were admitted to different hospitals outside it.

This year, the total number of cases rose to 4,208 while 47 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the same period.
As many as 81 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals, the DGHS statement added.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases.
