Jatrabari Jhotika Sangsad wins 2-1

Jatrabari Jhotika Sangsad registered a 2-1 win over Somaj Kollayan O Krira Sangsad Mugda in the Bashundhara  Senior Division Football League 2023-24 in Kamlapur, Dhaka on Thursday.

In the only match of the day, Jatrabari boys opened the net in the 24th minute as striker Kamran scored. Although the Mugda boys were able to hold the opponents with a goal by Mahbubul Biswas in the 39th minute, striker Ramjan Howlader managed Jatrabari a second lead in the 53rd minute. The Jatrabari boys were successful in maintaining the lead till the end.

However, the joy of the winners faded out a little as one of their managers Md Niaz was shown a direct red card for misconduct.

In the previous matches of the Senior Division Football League played on Tuesday, Arambagh Krira Sangha celebrated a 4-0 win over Swadhinata Krira Sangha while East End Club defeated Mohakhali XI in a 2-0 margin and, in the third match, Bangladesh Boys Club suffered a goalless draw against Nobabpur Krira Chakra.
 
In the first match, Arambagh Krira Sangha, once a big gun in the Arambagh club region, surged ahead with a 12-minute goal by Sajal Ahmed, and then extended the lead three times in a row with goals by Ripon Miah, Shafiqul Islam, and Arafat Miah in the 22nd, 43rd, and 62nd minutes, respectively.

East End Club won the second match with goals from Robiul Majumder in the 27th minute and Parvez Miah in the 36th minute.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, Badda Jagoroni Sangsad secured a 3-0 goal win over a 10-player Sadharan Bima Corporation Sporting Club.

There, Sadharan Bima lost one player after Munim Howlader saw a direct red card for unplayerly conduct. Saiful Islam, Arif Islam and Arif Hamza netted one goal each for the winning team.
