Fugitive life-term convict held from Tongi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a fugitive convict, who was sentenced to life-term jail in a murder case, from Tongi in Gazipur on Monday.

The arrestee was Joynal Sarder, 39, son of Md. Mohabbat Ali, a resident of Kamalapur under Gournadi upazila in Barisal, assistant police super and assistant director (media) of RAB-10 M J Sohel confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

He said, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-10 conducted a drive in Tongi station road area and arrested him.
