A seasonal fruit festival was organized by Bogura district police at the drill shed of the district police line on Monday.
There was a collection of 28 kinds of fruits including various varieties of mango, jam, litchi, guava, banana, jackfruit, carissa, pomelo, dillenia indica. Students of Police Lines School and College enjoyed the seasonal fruit festival.
Bogura Police Super (Promoted Additional DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chatravarty said the seasonal fruit festival is a national tradition of Bengalis. Just like Pitha Mela, Poush Festival, Bengali New Year, Lathi Games etc. carry the tradition of Bengalis, the native fruit festival is a part of Bengali festival. He urged to start fruit festival in every institution.
At that time, Bogura CID Police Super Kawsar Sikdar, Additional Police Superintendent Abdur Rashid, Additional Police Superintendent Motahar Hossain, RAB-12 Bogura Camp Captain Munir Hossain, Bogura Press Club President Mahmudul Alam Nayan also spoke at the festival conducted by Additional Superintendent of Police (Promoted Superintendent of Police) Snigdho Akhtar.
