Matiurs wife Lucky prays for lifting her travel ban

Former member of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Matiur Rahmans first wife Laila Kaniz Lucky, on Sunday prayed before a Dhaka court to withdraw a travel ban imposed on her for alleged corruption.

After hering on her petition, Judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain of the Metropolitan Senior Special Judges Court of Dhaka fixed July 27 for hearing on the issue.

The same court on June 24 issued an injunction on former Matiur Rahman, his first wife, and his son leaving the country as they allegedly accumulated huge illegal wealth.
 
Matiurs first wife is Laila Kaniz Lucky, upazila parishad chairman of Narsingdis Raipura, and his son is Ahmed Taufiqur Rahman Arnob.
