A man was killed in a collision between two motorbikes at Dashmina upazila in
Patuakhali district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Khan, 38, son of Abdus Salam, a resident of North Arajbegi village under ward no. 6 of Sadar union. He used to drive motorbike on rent.
According to locals, Shamim faced the tragic
accident while he was heading towards Dashmina along with two passengers. On the way, when he reached at Shoula area around 7pm, an another motorbike collided head-on with his bike, leaving him critically injured.
He was rescued by locals and taken to Patuakhali General Hospital where the physicians declared him dead.
Patuakhali Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Md Jasim said the body was recovered and handed over to the family members upon their request.
