A vast area of Mymensingh and Netrakona are facing gas supply cut as Titas Gas authority has suspended the gas supply from Monday (24 June) night due to a leak in gas pipeline.
"The supply line was affected in Mymensinghs Trishal upazila due to the piling work at a multi-storied building on Monday morning, we stopped the supply on security ground, the gas had been leaking," Hilton Pal, manager (Operation) of Titas Gas in Mymensingh said.
Around 25,000 users in Mymensingh and Netrakona are facing serious trouble as Titas Gas authority has suspended the gas supply for 15 hours from last night due to a leak in its pipeline, according to him.
"Our technical team have started work since last night and it could be able to complete their task by today (Tuesday) evening," he hoped.
The gas supply was not restored till the filing of this report around 4:55 on Tuesday, according to our local correspondent.
Dider-E-Alam Mohammad Maksud Chowdhury, deputy commissioner (DC) of Mymensingh, said the Titas Gas authority did not inform the administration about the suspension.
