Missing child's body recovered from septic tank in Narsingdi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered the body of a three-year-old girl, who had been missing for four days, from a septic tank of her house at Palash upazila in Narsingdi district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Maisa Aktar, 3, daughter of Mehadi Hasan, a resident of Joynagar village under Danga union in the upazila.

RAB arrested three people in a connection with the incident.

It was learnt that Maisa went missing on Friday afternoon (JUNE 21).Mehadi Hasan, Maisa's father filled a general dairywith Palash Police Station at night on that day as they could not find Maisa anywhere .
After four days of the incident, RAB arrested three of a family who are renter of Maisa's house. Later, RAB recovered her body from the septic tank of their house on the basis of given information by arrested people.

The body has been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Md Josim Uddin, officer in-charge of Palash Police Station.

RAB will handed the arrested people over to the Palash police station and details will be known after investigation, the police official added.
