Saiful Islam appointed new CMP commissioner

Saiful Islam has been appointed as the new commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP).

The information was given in an order signed by Home Ministry deputy secretary for Public Security Sirajam Munira on Sunday.

Earlier, Krishnapad Pada Roy was appointed as the CMP Commissioner on June 30, 2022.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Krishna Pada Roy was reassigned to Police Headquarters in Dhaka.

The government has made a major reshuffle in the police administration by transferring 40 police officers to new working stations within the country.

The other officials transferred include --nine Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), 15 recently promoted additional DIGs, and 15 superintendents of police (SPs).
