As many as 92 people have been killed in road accidents during the five days of holidays of Eid-ul-Azha, said Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on Wednesday (June 19).
These people were killed in road accidents at different parts of the country from June 13 to June 17, said BRTA's Road Safety Division's director Sheikh Mohammad Mahbub-e-Rabbani.
According to the BRTA statistics, 95 road accidents happened during the five-day period, which left 92 dead and 104 injured.
However, accidents and casualties in riverine and railway routes could not be known.
Generally, seven days before Eid-day, seven days after Eid-day, and the Eid-day are considered as Eid journeys.
So, it will take time to know the exact number of deceased and injured during the period.
