Two upazilas in Rajshahi get 2 new chairmen

The fourth phase of the sixth upazila parishad election was held in two upazilas in Rajshahi district on Wednesday (June 5).

Among these upazilas, Layab Uddin Lavlu has been elected as chairman of Bagha upazila with 32,405 votes, while his nearest rival candidate Rokonuzzaman secured 32, 299 votes with pineapple symbol.

Meanwhile, Mahmudul Hasan has been elected as chairman of Charghat upazila. He got 32,281 votes with motorcycle symbol while his nearest rival Fakhrul Islam bagged 32,041 votes with pineapple symbol.

The results were provided by returning officers on Wednesday night.
