With the participation of 16 teams from various international organisations and foreign embassies located in Bangladesh, the two-day-long Embassy Cricket Carnival is beginning on Friday at the Basundhara Sports Complex ground.

Amidst the ongoing ICC T20 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies and the United States, Bangladesh is hosting the Embassy Cricket Carnival for the first time following the initiative of the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Apart from teams of foreign embassies located in the country such as India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the international organisations working here are also playing their teams in the event.

The tournament will kick off at the Basundhara Sports Complex grounds on June 7th and 8th.

The group stage matches will take place after the opening ceremony.

The event will then proceed with the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final on the second day.
