The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue over five districts across the country, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday.
The weather bulletin issued on Wednesday morning mentioned that mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Due to excessive moisture content the discomfort may persist, it added.
Light to moderate rain thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Rajshahi Chattogram and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.7 degrees Celsius at
Chuadanga.
