Cyclone Remal

38,000 customers in Kulaura face power outage

At least 38 thousands of customers are living without electricity at Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district due to the effect of cyclone Remal.

Employees have been working to resume the electricity, said Electricity Department.

Electric wires torn down and electric poles broke down in various areas in the upazila due to heavy rainfall and strong wind caused by cyclone 'Remal', said Md Shahdat Hossain, executive engineer of Kulaura Electricity Department. 

Almost 38 thousands of families are currently experiencing an electricity outage, he added.
