Dear sir,
Balrampur High School Ground, under the Atwari Upazila of Panchagarh District, is a traditional ground. One of the largest grounds in Panchagarh district. But with the passage of time, due to various ill-planning, neglect, and misuse, the field has lost its charm. Once upon a time, apart from national-level games, all kinds of sports, including major cricket and football tournaments, were organised.
But at present, the field is on the verge of destruction due to lack of maintenance, free roaming and excrement of cattle, cutting of grass, cutting of trees next to the field, keeping animal waste, drying the soil, and allowing sand to be kept in the field with wheelbarrows. As a result, the space for sports and talent development among the surrounding youth, including students, is shrinking, and they are turning to drugs.
Therefore, I am drawing the attention of the administration and concerned authorities to make the ground suitable for playing, modernise it in a quick time, and take appropriate steps to save the youth from drug addiction.
