Minor downs in Noakhali pond

A minor child drowned in a pond in Noakhali's Senbag upazila on Thursday afternoon.

The dead was Anishba, 2, daughter of Amirul Islam Liton, a resident of Gopalpur village under Nabipur union of the upazila.

According to locals, the baby slipped into a pond next to their house while playing near its bank.

Later, family members rescued the child and took a doctor where she was declared dead.
