Corruption at Varendra Research Museum

Dear Sir

University of Rajshahi has been running the countrys oldest museum, Varendra Research Museum, for a long time. The visit is free for students and researchers from University of Rajshahi.

However, a visit to the Varendra Research Museum shows a different picture. Although the entry is free, at present, they charge 10 taka as an entry fee from RU students and provide a ticket, which is written in part as ordinary visitor.

If a student tells them that "RU students can enter here for free," they reply, "Although the entry was free before, now entry fee for RU students is Tk10." This has made the students suffer. Therefore, the intervention of the concerned authorities is very important to solve this problem.
