Mild heat wave still grips parts of country

Dear Sir
Current mild heat wave is affecting central, northern, northeastern, and southeastern parts of Bangladesh, as reported by meteorological authorities. Some districts of Tangail, Rajshahi, Pabna, Jashore, Nilphamari, Rangamati, and Feni are experiencing this phenomenon, which is expected to persist.

With temperatures rising and little relief in sight, it is crucial to take immediate action to protect vulnerable communities and ensure access to cooling resources. As day and night temperatures continue to climb, proactive measures are essential to mitigate the impact of this heat wave.
Recent temperature records, such as the maximum of 37.0 degrees Celsius at Ishurdi and the minimum of 23.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia, underscore the severity of the situation. Additionally, the recorded maximum rainfall of 20 millimeters at Patuakhali highlights the need for preparedness in the face of changing weather patterns.
