The International Nurses Day was celebrated in Rangamati's Kaptai on Sunday organized by Kaptai Chandraghona Christian Hospital's Nursing Department and Institute of Nursing.
The Hospital Director Dr. Prabir Khiang inaugurated various programs on the occasion of the day.
On this occasion, rallies, discussion meetings, and cultural programs were held with the theme of ''Our Nurses. Our Future. The economic power of care''.
A discussion was held at 6 pm in Dr. Mong Stephen Chowdhury auditorium of the hospital presided over by Senior Nasing Supervisor Mrs. Namita Biswas where Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mohiuddin spoke as the chief guest conducted by Senior Staff Nurse Rana Sarkar and Chingthuima Khiang.
Chandraghona Christian Hospital Director Dr Prabir Khiang, Hospital Clinical Chief and Surgery Consultant Dr Billiam A Sangma and Christian Hospital Nursing Institute Principal Lal Run Moi spoke as special guests.
At that time, former principal of nursing institute Alka Chowdhury, in-charge Renuka Dhali, former OT in-charge Anup Kumar Biswas and trainee nurses Arpa Barai and Gloria Burman spoke at the programme, among others.
Later, at 7:30 pm cake cutting and cultural program was organized with the participation of students and staff nurses.
