On the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, dances, songs and discussion were held in Netrakona's Purbadhala on Thursday.
Chorus songs, solo songs and dance were performed under the music direction of Atendra Chandra Das in the afternoon with the participation of artists from Media Cultural Academy at Media Ideal School premises in the upazila organized by the school.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khabirul Ahsan was the chief guest and writer, researcher Ali Ahmad Khan Ayyub was the special guest at the programme presided over by the school Director Zulfikar Ali Shaheen conducted by Director Ismail Hossain Khokon.
The school students, teachers, parents, artists, Purbadhala Government College Lecturer Mohammad Ali Jewel, Journalist Mohammad Emdadul Islam, Journalist Shafiqul Islam Khan, Journalist Mostak Ahmad Khan were present in the festival, among others.
