Passerby falls sick at Gulistan due to heatwave, dies at DMCH

A passerby suddenly fell sick in the capitals' Gulistan area on Tuesday morning and, later, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Alalmgir Shikder, 45, fell onto the ground while walking through Toll Plaza at Gulistan around 10am. He was immediately taken to the DMCH where the on-duty physicians declared him dead, said Md Anwar, who brought Alalmgir to the hospital.

Getting information, the deceased's brother Md Rabiul Alam Shikder went to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Alalmgir Shikder, a resident of Jatrabari, worked at a press at Jatrabari's Kajla, it was learnt.

He fell sick due to excessive heatwave and later died, according to the doctors.
