Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali said that inflation in Bangladesh is coming down. On Wednesday, he said this in response to questions from reporters while participating in the World Bank and IMF spring meeting in Washington DC, USA.
The Finance Minister said, "The relationship with the World Bank and IMF is going well. There is an adversary who tries to make the relationship worse, not better. When the adversaries of our country saw that they could not do anything, people did not respond; Then they did various violence. There is no benefit in doing them.
Because the support of Awami League is so deep, it will not happen like this. People see them."
In response to a question about inflation, he said, price inflation is also coming down. How many factors are working on it? But we are working on it.
Neighbouring countries have been able to control inflation, when asked why we can , he said, "I don think so. We are trying to control inflation."
