BNP leaders Habib, Dipak sent to jail in sabotage case

Two convicted BNP leaders, Habibur Rashid Habib and Abul Mansur Khan Dipak, were sent to jail by a Dhaka court on Thursday.

A Dhaka court in 2023 sentenced them to two years in jail in a sabotage case filed with Paltan police station.
 
Habibur Rashid Habib is a member of BNPs National Executive Committee, while Abul Mansur Khan Dipak is the Sports Affairs Secretary of Juba Dal.

Earlier in the morning, they surrendered before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court in the sabotage case and sought bail on the condition of filing an appeal.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Akteruzzaman passed the order after hearing their bail petition.

A Dhaka court convicted them in 2023 and sentenced them to two years in jail in the same case.

Habibur Rashid Habib is the former President of JCD, and Abul Mansur Khan Dipak is the former President of the Dhaka North unit of JCD.
