1,900 marginal farmers to get incentive in Magura

A total of 1,900 small and marginal farmers in Magura Sadar upazila will get seeds and fertilizers as agricultural incentive.

Each farmer will get five kgs of Ufshi Aush seed, 10 kgs of Di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and five kgs of Muriate of potash (MOP) fertilizer free of cost under the incentive and rehabilitation programme for the cultivation of Ufshi Aush in the current Kharif-1 season.

Deputy commissioner Mohammad Abu Naser Beg inaugurated the distribution programme and handed over the seeds and fertilizers to some farmers as the chief guest on the Upazila Parishad premise in the afternoon with upazila nirbahi office Md Mizanur Rahman in the chair.
 
Rest of the seeds and fertilizers will be distributed very soon under the concerned Upazila Agriculture Office, said Dr Md Yasin Ali, deputy director of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE).
