3 die inhaling toxic gas inside septic tank in B'baria

Three workers died after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank at Nasirnagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place around 1pm at Gutma village under Guniauk union of the upazila.

Among the deceased, a construction worker was identified as Alam Mia while the detailes of the rest could not be ascertained yet.

According to locals, Alam Mia along with two others went down to the septic tank of an under-construction building for cleaning. After getting no response from them for a while, locals informed police and fire service department.

Nasirnagar Police Station officer-in-charge Md Sohag Rana confirmed the matter, adding that on information, a rescue team from nearby Fire Service and Civil Defence station rushed to the spot and operating rescue operation.
