Two life term convicts held in Tongi

Members Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two life-term sentenced convicts in a narcotics case from Tongi Purbo Thana area Friday night.

The arrested persons were identified as- Md Monirul Islam, 35, of Rajshahi Poba Thana area and Md Masud Rana, 21, hailing from Mymensinghs Haluaghat.

On a tip-off, members of RAR-2 conducted a drive in Tongi Purbo Thana area in Gazipur and arrested them around 8:00pm last night, RAB senior assistant director (Media) Senior ASP Shihab Karim told BSS on Saturday.
"On June 28, 2018, they were arrested with 195 bottles of Phensidyl. A case was filed with Uttara West Thana in this regard. They were absconding after securing bail," he said.    â€”BSS
