Bangladesh downs one step in FIFA mens ranking

Bangladeshs national football team has fallen one step down in the freshly published mens world ranking by the earths football governing body FIFA. Bangladesh is now 184th in the ranking.

The boys in red and green outfits had no success in recent times hence the downgrade is experienced in the ranking. The boys played two matches in the second round of joint qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup last month. But the boys lost both matches.
Palestine defeated Bangladesh in a 5-0 match on 22 March at the Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait. The next match saw a better performance from the Bangladesh boys but Palestine won the match too. There, despite being able to hold Palestine goalless till the fourth minute of the injury time, Bangladesh succumbed to digesting a goal and lost the match in Dhaka.
