Jahangir Kabir new JU proctor

University Registrar Abu Hasan informed this through an office order on Monday.

Dr Mohammad Alamgir Kabir has been assigned the role of acting proctor upon the written request of the former proctor of the university ASM Feroz Ul Hasan, an associate professor in the Department of Government and Politics, the circular read.

Meanwhile, Jahangirnagar University (JU) proctor ASM Firoz Ul Hasan on Monday resigned from his post in the face of the ongoing anti-rape and harassment movement of teachers and students.

Prior, Dr Mohammad Alamgir Kabir served as the director of the Student-Teacher Centre and as the principal of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall.

He currently holds the position of principal at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Hall.
