Israel plans to eliminate Hamas

German media Deutsche Welle published a report in the last December about whether it is possible to annihilate Hamas. A majority of experts in the report say that a political solution is the only way to end the conflict.

But Israels statement is very clear, but they are prolonging the Gaza war with a misguided plan to abolish Hamas. Starting with Zionist warlord Prime Minister Netanyahu, almost all top officials in his government have repeatedly stated that their one and only goal is to wipe out Hamas leaders. Netanyahu recently said that if Hamas leaders surrender, they will be given a life sentence. Israeli television channels also repeatedly show a slogan -- Together We Win. But is this victory really possible? Most experts think - obviously not. Instead, they say, Israel can kill Hamas leaders by conducting raids, but cannot destroy their ideology.

Since Hamass surprise attack on October 7, Israel has continued to bombard and kill the Gaza Strip and plans to escalate its offensive along the Rafah border in the south, defying global pressure. About 2.30 million people live in the Gaza Strip. The army is operating there and their aggressive attacks have already killed around 29 thousand innocent people and around 70 thousand people have been injured or maimed for life. Many Hamas fighters also died. But according to experts, it is not possible to eliminate Hamas in this way. Because, Hamas is not only a freedom-seeking organization. According to a German expert, there are at least 20,000 to 30,000 Hamas fighters in the Gaza Strip. But more than that, the people of the Gaza Strip love and strongly support Hamas. To them, Hamas is a popular social organization, fighting for their rights.

The Israeli army claimed that at least 50,000 civilians fled from northern Gaza to southern Gaza and that they helped them escape. They have been forced to leave the city by calling and handing out leaflets. Israels prime minister told media that Israeli forces had entered the city in northern Gaza. They are attacking Hamas tunnels. They have reached places that Hamas could never have imagined. Israel claims a key Hamas rocket maker has been killed by Israeli forces. Israel claims that Hamas has lost its power in northern Gaza. They are still fighting in southern Gaza and because of that thousands of people are moving from north to south. The north is now virtually in the hands of Israeli forces, who claim to have destroyed 130 Hamas tunnels in northern Gaza. A tunnel is a protected underground bunker. Israel claims that Hamas used to build bunkers under civilian homes and hospitals to carry out its errorist activities, that is why Hamas has to attack many civilian buildings during the offensive.

But is it really possible to completely eradicate the Palestinian independence armed organization Hamas? However, many doubt whether Israel will be able to eliminate Hamas. According to a report by the US media Washington Post last December, Israel is not close to eliminating Hamas even after two months of attacks.

According to the report published on December 5, the Israeli army could not come close to eliminating Hamas even after 66 days of war. Al-Qassem Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has 30,000 fighters, the media said. It is claimed that only 5 thousand fighters have been killed in the war so far.

Iran, the biggest sponsor and helper of Hamas, made the same clear last December. Irans foreign minister clearly told Reuters that Zionist Israel and its close ally the United States will never be able to wipe out Hamas and that Israel can only secure the release of prisoners in Gaza through a political solution to the conflict. In a speech at the United Nations in Geneva, he described Hamas as a pro-independence organization, saying, "Israel and the United States will never be able to eliminate Hamas. Only through a political solution can the prisoners held by Hamas be returned." In addition, Jordan has already expressed doubts about how Israel can wipe out Hamas. In the third week of last November, Jordans foreign minister expressed doubts about how Israel will wipe out Hamas; They don understand that. He also said, "Israel says they are going to wipe out Hamas." There are many military personnel here. We do not understand how this goal will be achieved.

Hamas has controlled and ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007. They have a social program called Dawah. At least 80 to 90 thousand people work in this dawah. They are not warriors, but volunteers. A professor of Arab studies at Columbia University said, "Israels operations in the Gaza Strip may kill Hamas leaders but will not destroy Hamas political position and ideology. He also said that Israel can eliminate Hamas leaders by carrying out operations but cannot destroy Hamas political and social position. Therefore, political solution is the only way to end this conflict.

Another of Hamas most popular actions is to consider those who die in Israeli aggression as martyrs and to provide one-time and regular financial support to the families of martyred Palestinians, ranging from $500 to $5,000. In addition, Hamas provides priority assistance in rebuilding destroyed houses, schools or mosques.

Hamas has placed itself in a unique position in health care. Hamas has demonstrated considerable efficiency and transparency in managing aid and financial donations from various charities or donor countries; On the other hand, the Fatah group is deeply involved in corruption. The popularity of these social activities of Hamas is not only in the Gaza Strip, but also in the Fatah-ruled West Bank and in other Muslim countries nearby.

Although Israel, the United States, and the European Union consider Hamas a terrorist and Islamist militant organization, it is a popular political organization in the Gaza Strip that has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007. It does not recognize the state of Israel and aims to destroy it. Hamas considers Israel an illegal power occupying the Palestinian territories since 1967. Since Hamas took power in the Gaza Strip, its ability to provide financial support, money and arms to countries such as Iran and Qatar has increased significantly.

An American expert on Middle East affairs said, "Hamas cannot be eradicated. Hamas is not a group of people or a set of tools and infrastructure, but rather a brand, and as long as there is a group of living Palestinians who want to call themselves Hamas, Hamas still exists everywhere. It is extremely foolish to declare a war that cannot be noticed. Yet that is what Israel has done, and until the Israeli leadership begins to tone down its rhetoric about war goals, Israels performance will continue to fail because it has set itself unattainable goals and is writing Hamass victory speech with its own declarations."

The Israeli startup world began to flourish in the 1990s. The country has since established itself as one of the biggest technology hubs in the world. After them is the US Silicon Valley. In total, more than 500 multinational companies do business in Israel, including Google, Apple, IBM, Meta, Microsoft and Intel Corporation. The industry that is doing well overall is the high tech sector.

There has been good growth in this sector for many years. The sector accounts for 20 percent of Israels gross domestic product (GDP), and ensures 14 percent of total employment. Many factories have stopped production and business because of the war in Gaza, and new investment is not available.

The sector of the Israeli economy that has probably suffered the most is tourism. Before COVID-19, about 2.6 percent of the countrys GDP came from this sector. But since the outbreak of the war, domestic and international tourists have slowed down. Restaurants and shops were seen empty all over Israel. Many airlines have canceled flights to Tel Aviv after Hamas attacks in southern Israel and the war in Gaza. At the same time, many tourists canceled their travel plans to Israel. Later, however, some major airlines like Lufthansa resumed their flights. Before Hamas Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, more than 300,000 tourists traveled to Israel every month. In November, this number dropped to 39,000, according to the news.

The news media Al-Jazeera reports that the war is not only sad, but it is also expensive. For example, its impact on tourism is at once an undeniable fact and there is no denying it. On the other hand, 14 percent of Israeli GDP comes from the construction sector. After the start of the war, this sector was also severely damaged. Since that October, construction has been halted throughout Israel. Almost 65 to 70 percent of the countrys construction workers are Palestinians. Israel has suspended their work permits indefinitely. As a result, both Israeli industry and the West Bank economy are suffering.

Last November, the Bank of Israel issued a rough estimate of the wars impact on the countrys economy. The central bank said the financial impact of the war on the economy would be $53 billion, or 198 billion shekels.

The central bank lowered the growth target for 2023-24 to 2 percent from earlier estimates of 2.3 percent and 2.8 percent respectively. If the most intense phase of the war ends in the first quarter of 2024, the cost to Israel this year could reach $13.80 billion. Last December, the Ministry of Finance gave such an account.

Keeping that in mind, the experts are keeping an eye on the business situation at the field level.

Israels war in Gaza is now in its fifth month. About 29,000 Palestinians have been killed in this war. But Israels own economy has also suffered due to the war. The news media Al-Jazeera says that since last October, the Israeli government has been paying salaries to about 360,000 reservists. They were deployed to Gaza, many of them killed or maimed for life. Many of these soldiers are highly tech-savvy, working in various sectors of the economy such as the financial sector, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. Due to the economic damage caused by the war in Gaza and the cost of the prolonged war, it is not possible for Israel to annihilate Hamas naturally, and it is considered a flawed Israeli plan.

Many Muslim countries that have recently had hostile relations with Israel suddenly attacked Israel when they were establishing normal diplomatic relations with Israel. Hamas says such ties are a major obstacle to the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, and its main demand is for Israel to cede territory illegally occupied in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. Many analysts think that the single support of Israel by the superpower countries has largely sustained this crisis and the opposition of the superpowers has made it impossible to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. For them, the Palestinian state is like playing with dolls. In this case, Hamas is basically trying to establish an effective independent Palestinian state by ignoring Israels bloodshed, and it is not possible to wipe out Hamas in any way. Hamas in the Middle East is not a bogus organization, rather it is a much talked about and popular pro-independence organization in Gaza after the October 7 attacks. Israel is basically talking about a fiasco plan set to abolish Hamas to cover up its political and defective failures and to seek revenge.
