New VC of BU

Professor Dr Mohammad Badruzzaman Bhuiyan has been appointed vice-chancellor (VC) of Barishal University (BU) for four years.

In this connection, a circular was issued on March 4, 2024 by the Education Ministry. The circular was signed by Shatarupa Talukdar, senior assistant secretary of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Department of the Education Ministry.

He joined the BU as treasurer on April 19 in 2022. He performed the responsibility as Acting VC of the university from November 8, 2023.

Earlier, he was chairman of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department of Dhaka University (DU). He was also provost of Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall, and Assistant Proctor of DU.
