Japanese Ambassador calls on Commerce State Minister

Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh IWAMA Kiminori made a courtesy call on State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu at his Secretariat office on Monday.

During the meeting, Titu termed Handcrafts as the product of the year and said that the government wants to generate more employments and boost exportable items through its one village, one product initiative.

He also sought support from Japan to make this initiative a success.

Lauding such initiative of the government, the Japanese Ambassador said that  Japan wants to strengthen its relationship with Bangladesh.

Kiminori said that Japan wants to stay beside Bangladesh as a development  partner, He also requested the state minister for ensuring Bangladeshs participation  at the World Trade Expo 2025 to be held in Japan.

The state minister also put emphasis on working together to boost bilateral  trade and investment relationship.    â€”BSS
