CHATTOGRAM, Feb 08: Annual Sports Competition-2024 of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) held on Thursday at the central playground of the university.
The Competition inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of CUET Prof Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam.
The program was organised under the chairmanship of Director of Student Welfare Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim while Dean of Faculty of Civil and Environment Engineering Prof Dr Sudeep Kumar Pal, Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Prof Dr Mohammad Samsul Arefin, Dean of Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Prof Dr Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology Prof. Dr AH Rashedul Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning Professor Dr Muhammad Rashidul Hasan were present as special guests.
The program was conducted by Associate Professor of EEE Department Dr Mehdi Hasan Chowdhury, MIE Department Lecturer Tasmia Binte Hai and Deputy Director (Information and Publication) Mohammad Fazlur Rahman.
Director of Research and Extension Directorate Professor Dr Sajal Chandra Banik performed the duty of field marshal of the sports competition.
Around 1,200 competitors are participated in 42 events in this years annual sports competition, including students, teachers, officials and staff.
Waliullah Rakib was selected as the fastest man and Zareen Tasnim Saba was selected as the fastest woman in the competition.
