The authorities of Khulna University (KU) have taken the day-long programme to celebrate the University Day today.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will be present as the chief guest on the occasion. The programme has been adopted a colorful procession on the campus at 9:30 am, inauguration of academic fair in the campus at 10:45 am, discussion program at 11:00 am.
In addition, newly established Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall for female students will be inaugurated at 12:55 pm, and the Raingamari village will be announced as the Survey Center of Khulna University. A cultural programme will be organized at the Muktamanch of the university from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm today.
Lighting the candles will take place on the Shaheed Minar premises, Adamya Bangla and Kotka Memorial at 6:00 pm. The campus area, new administrative buildings, cafeteria, academic buildings and halls will be decorated with lights to mark the day. Also the step has been taken to serve special foods in the halls.
All the disciplines will display achievements of their respective fields and various issues related to them at the University Academic Fair. For that reason, the academic fair in the university playground will be opened to the all including teachers-students of school-colleges in Khulna region.
In fact, the Khulna University Day is on November 25, 2015. However, the University Day programmes will be observed today due to the November 25 was government holiday.
