Kamal Chy made PM's Principal Secy

Public Administration Ministry's Senior Secretary Dr Kamal Abu Naser Chowdhury has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. He will replace incumbent Principal Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, who is now under contractual service.
The Public Administration Ministry on Sunday issued an order appointing the new Principal Secretary, Kamal Chowdhury, who is well known as a poet and also a writer.
Abul Kalam Azad concluded his service life on Sunday. Earlier in December last, the government approved a contractual job of only 11 months for the top bureaucrat.
Kamal Chowdhury was born in December 31 in Comilla's Chouddagram Upazila. He completed his graduation in 1978 from the Department of Social Sciences at University of Dhaka. Later, he completed his Masters in 1979 from the same university.
In 2006, Kamal Chowdhury completed his PhD in Anthropology.
A 1982 batch BCS officer, Kamal Chowdhury, started his service in the year of 1983. He had served at different levels of the administration during his 33 year long service tenure.
On June 30, 2009, he was appointed as Acting Secretary to the Information Ministry. On October 20 in 2010, he was promoted to the same Ministry as Secretary and a day later, he was assigned as Secretary to the Education Ministry. He served there until joining to the PA Ministry.
He was promoted as Senior Secretary on March 19, 2014.
More than 15 books of poetry and research of Kamal Chowdhury were published by different publishers.
