GM Quader becomes leader of opposition in parliament

Jatiya Party (JaPa) chairman Golam Mohammad Quader has been made Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, while co-chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud Deputy Leader of the Opposition.

At the directive of Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat issued a circular on Sunday (January 28).
It has been stated in the circular that the Speaker has given recognition to the Golam Mohammad Quader (21 Rangpur-3) as the Leader of the Opposition as he has been elected with the highest number of members of parliament (MPs) opposing to the treasury bench in Jatiya Sangsad and Anisul Islam Mahmud MP (282 Chattogram-5) as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition.
