Minor child drowns in Jashore pond

A minor child drowned in a pond in Jessore's Manirampur upazila.

The dead was Jaber Hossain, 3, son of Sahabur Khan, a resident of Tuniaghara village under the upazila.
It was known that the child slipped into a pond next to their house while he was playing near its bank in the morning.

Later, he was rescued and taken to Manirampur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Manirampur Police Station sub inspector Al Amin confirmed it.
