BGB-BSF sector commander-level meeting held at Hili

A sector commander-level meeting between Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was held at Hili border in Dinajpur district to stop the killing of innocent people, smuggling, drug trafficking and illegal infiltration on the border.

A delegation of 20 members led by BSF Raiganj Sector DIG Shri Mahendra Singh entered Hili through Zero Point at 11:30 am on Sunday. BGB welcomed them with flowers.

Later, the meeting was held at Hili ICP Camp. Commander of 20 BGB Battalion Lt. Col. Tanjilur Rahman Bhuiyan and the leaders of the two forces were present at the meeting. After the meeting, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) delegation returned in the afternoon.

BGB Dinajpur Sector Commander Col. Rashed Asgar said both sides agreed to work together to reduce border killings and drug smuggling, stop illegal border crossings, maintain cordial relations between the two forces, and reduce border crimes through joint efforts.
