Bahauddin Nasim served show cause notice for violating electoral code

The election inquiry committee has served a show cause notice to Awami League candidate AFM Bahauddin Nasim for breaching the electoral code of conduct.

Israt Jahan, an election inquiry committee official and joint district Judge, sent the notice on Saturday.

Bahauddin Nasim is Awami League's nominated MP candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency.

According to the notice, Bahauddin broke the pre-election code of conduct by holding a view-exchange meeting with local people of Shantinagar, Shahjahanpur and Arambagh. At that time, he also visited the areas and the election office which created a huge crowd there.
