DMP arrests 33 in anti-drug drives

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in anti-drug drives, arrested 33 people from different areas in the city in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am, Saturday.

Additional deputy commissioner of DMP Media and Public Relation KN Roy Niyati confirmed the matter.
During the drive, a total of 15,609 Yaba pills, 22.65 kilograms of hemp, one gram of heroin, six phensedyl syrups, four bottles of foreign liquor and 60 tapentadol tablets were seized from their possessions.

A total of 26 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
