Sheikh Russel memorial boat race held in Rangamati

Sheikh Russel memorial boat race was held at Kaptai Lake in Rangamati district on Wednesday afternoon on the occasion of Sheikh Rusel Day.

Thousands of people including women and children flocked to see this boat race. Many spectators appeared with engine driven boats decorated in different colors.
Dipankar Talukder MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry, distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest of the competition.

Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board chairman Supradeep Chakma was the guest of honor at the competition. Rangamati deputy commissioner Mosharraf Hossain Khan presided over the programme where Zilla Parishad chairman Angsui Pru Chowdhury, additional police superintendent Maruf Ahmed, Rangamati municipal mayor Akbar Hossain Chowdhury were present as special guests.
