A peace rally was held on Monday in Rangamati district to protest the conspiracies and anarchy by BNP-Jamaat across the country.
Dipankar Talukder MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry, was present as the chief guest at the rally held at Banrupa CNG stand premises in the town jointly organized by the District Jubo League, Swechasebak League and Chhatra League.
Rangamati Jubo League president and municipal mayor Akbar Hossain Chowdhury presided over the rally where District Awami League vice president and Zilla Parishad chairman Angsui Pru Chowdhury, District Awami League general secretary Haji Musa Matbar, District Swechasebak League president Shawal Uddin and District Jubo League general secretary Noor Mohammad Kajal spoke conducted by District Chhatra League general secretary Prakash Chakma.
At that time, chief guest Dipankar Talukder MP said, "When Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, anti-independence factions including BNP-Jamaat have started a conspiracy against the country.''
Earlier, a peace procession against terrorism and anarchy was brought out from Rangamati Municipal premises which paraded the main streets of the town.
