ASI found dead in Mohammadpur's SPBn barrack

Police recovered the body of a police official from a barrack of Special Security and Protection Battalion (SPBN) at Bosila area in Dhaka's Mohammadpur Police Station on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Motaleb, 37, who served as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the battalion, said Mohammadpur Police Station officer-in-charge Mahfuzul Haque Bhuiyan.

Being informed, police recovered the hanging body from the spot and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy, he said.

"Investigation is on in this regard and actual reason behind the death would be known after autopsy," the OC added.
