A delegation of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) visited Ashrayan Project in Devgram of Kotalipara in Gopalganj district on Wednesday.
Development programme representative of Prime Minister's constituency and former secretary Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker has welcomed the delegation at the Ashrayan Project of Kotalipara Upazila. The delegation also visited floating vegetable bed cultivation in Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj on Wednesday.
Md Shahid said the country is moving forward by the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “She announced to build a smart Bangladesh and soon we will be able to build a smart Bangladesh”, he added.
He told this to media at a press briefing on ICIMOD visit. He said the country will become a developed country by 2041. Therefore, delegations from different countries come to the country to see and recognize the development activities.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Golam Kabir, Kotalipara Upazila Executive Officer Ferdous Wahid, Municipal Mayor Matiar Rahman Hazra, Upazila Agriculture Officer Nitul Roy were present in the programme, among others.
