Md Shahabuddin Chuppu is set to become the next President of Bangladesh.
He was born in Pabna in 1949 and was one of the first members of Pabna district Chhatra League.
In 1971, he was the convenor of the Swadhin Bangla Chhatra Sangram Parishad in Pabna, and took part in Liberation War. He became the president of the Pabna district Jubo League in 1974.
He was imprisoned following the brutal assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975. He was later appointed as the Law Ministry's coordinator in the Bangabandhu assassination case.
Mohammed Shahabuddin completed his M.Sc. Degree from Rajshahi University
in 1974. Then he obtained L.L.B. Degree from Rajshahi University in
1975. He is a Heroic Freedom Fighter and one of the upholders of
Liberation Flag at own district Pabna in the glorious Liberation War,
1971.
He started his career in Judicial Service in 1983 and
was District Judge till 2006. He also discharged his duties as Chairman
of Labor Court in 2006, Lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court during
2008-2011 and Commissioner of Anti Corruption Commission during March,
2011 to March, 2016.
He successfully performed various important
assignments during his service period including Member of Judicial
Inquiry Committee, Chairman of Judicial Inquiry Commission and a lot
more.

Mohammed Shahabuddin visited various countries of the world
and participated in many local and international seminars, symposiam,
workshops and conferences on Case Management and Court Management
organized by Judicial Training Academy.
He attended as representative of
Bangladesh at International Seminar in Beijing, capital of China,
organized by Commonwealth on Prevailing Law in Bangladesh, etc.
He also
worked as a Journalist of Daily Banglar Bani during 1980-1982.
