Kurigram UP chairman arrested in corruption case

A union parishad (UP) chairman of Bhurungamari upazila in Kurigram district was arrested in a corruption case on Monday night.

The arrested person is Humayan Kabir Mithu, chairman of Pathardubi Union in the upazila.

Bhurungamari Police Station officer in-charge Alamgir Hossain said Mithu is an warrant accused in a corruption case filed by the Anti Corruption Commission in 2018.
