Veteran journalist Nurul Huda dies

Veteran journalist Nurul Huda died of kidney complications at his Mirpur residence in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon. He was 72.

A member of the Jatiya Press Club, Huda left behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

His namaj-e-janaza is scheduled to be held at Journalist residential area Jam-e-Masjid in Mirpur after Magrib prayers. He will be buried at Banani graveyard.

Nurul Huda worked in the Bangladesh Observer, Daily Star, Independent, the New Nation Daily Telegraph and other organisations. He joined Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha in 1991 before retiring as a special correspondent.

His publications are  'Environmental violations causes and cuers & sitting on a volcano', Contributed a chapter on Bangladesh for 'Against all odds'.
