Entry fee to visit Ratargul swamp forest

The government has fixed the entry fee for visiting Ratargul swamp forest, a popular tourist destination in Sylhet district.

The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change has recently issued a notification in this regard.

The fee has been fixed following the approval of the Ministry of Finance, said the notification.

The adult visitors have to pay Tk 50 to enter the forest while the entry fee for minors (under 12 years) and students with identity cards has been fixed at Tk 25 and Tk 500 for foreighners.

The tourists also have to pay for filming video and boat trips at Ratargul forest.

The fee for filming at the forest has been fixed at Tk 10,000 per camera per day.

Local visitors will have to pay Tk 100 for each boat trip while foreigners Tk 1,000.

Besides, Tk 200 parking fee has been fixed for each bus or truck while Tk 100 for pickup, jeep, car and microbus and Tk 25 for CNG-run auto-rickshaw and motorcycle, cited the notification.
