Archaeological museum to be set up in Laxmipur

Department of archeology is planning to set up an archeological museum and tourist spot in Laxmipur district.

Hannan Mia, Director General (Additional Secretary) came up with the disclosure after visiting the Jamidar Bari at Dalala Bazar and Khoa Sagor Dighi on Sunday.

Hannan Mia said the construction of a boundary wall around the Jamidar Bari will start in the current financial year.

In the meantime,the department will submit a plan of the  development project to the government.

If the the government approves the project, the works will start in full swing.

The Dalal Bazar Zamindar Bari is built a about six acres land. A huge pond of about 22 acres named Khoa Sagor Dighi is also situated beside the Zamindar Bari.

It is located 5 km west from the district town on the Dhaka-Raipur highway.
