Standing crops on 7,362 hectares in five upazilas of Bogura district have been damaged by floods during last one-and-a-half months.
The total estimated damage is worth around Tk 80 crore, creating tension among 49,378 farmers in the flood affected areas of the district.
Mohammad Mohsin, Director General of Department of Agriculture Extension, said the flood damaged 21,903 metric tones of Aus paddy, different verities of vegetables, Aman seedlings, chili and maize.
District relief and rehabilitation officer Azhar Ali Mondal said a list of flood affected people was handed over to the authorities concerned at a district level meeting on Sunday.
Deputy commissioner Md Ziaul Haq said the government will provide assistance among flood-hit farmers.
