29 sacks VGF rice seized in Panchagarh

Panchagarh's Sadar upazila administration has seized 29 sacks of rice allocated for the poor under the government's Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) Programme.

The sacks, each heaving 30 kgs rice,  were seized from two godowns at Talma bazar under Hafizabad union in the upazila on Monday.

The sacks have been kept at the UP chairman's custody.

A probe body, headed by assistant commissioner (land), has been formed  to investigate the matter.
